连读–辅音+元音

当前一个单词以辅音结尾，后一个单词以元音开头，将前面的辅音与后面的元音自然相连，称为“辅音 + 元音”的连读。我们可以想象这个辅音是后一个单词的词首，自然流畅地将辅音与元音连起来读。

缩写

(1) 's

a、在 /s/、/z/、/?/、/?/、/∫/、/?/ 后面，因为与 /s/ 发音相近，则 's 发为 /?z/

b、在浊辅音 (/b/、/d/、/g/、/v/、/e/、/m/、/n/、/?/、/l/、/r/) 以及元音后面，'s 发为 /z/

c、在清辅音 (/p/、/t/、/k/、/f/、/θ/) 后面，'s 发为 /s/

(2) 'm、're、've、'd、'll

a、如果元音结尾的词，直接在后面加个辅音即可

I am - I'm /a?m/ | You are - you're /j?r/ | they have - they've /ee?v/

b、如果是辅音结尾的词，加了缩写的后缀以后，如果两个辅音都是清音或都是浊音，就变成两个辅音连在一起

when did - when'd /w?nd/

c、如果一个辅音是清音，一个是浊音时，就需要在中间加一个 /?/

it would - it'd /??t?d/

that will - that'll /e?t?l/

(3) 否定缩写

a、通常都是在助动词原本的发音后面加 /nt/

are not - aren't /ɑrnt/

did not - didn't /?d?dnt/

b、不规则的否定缩写

will not - won't /wo?nt/

do not - don't /do?nt/

c、ain't 是一种非正式缩写，代表 am not 或 are not 或 is not

(am/are/is) not - ain't /ent/

2、辅音连缀 /ts、dz、tr、dr/

a、/z/ 出现在词尾，之前有 /d/ 的辅音时，要将 /dz/ 当作一个音，发音类似于“兹”的音

b、/s/ 出现在词尾，之前有 /t/ 的辅音时，要将 /ts/ 当作一个音，发音类似于“疵”的音

有些以 /ts/ 结尾的缩写，前边的发音被缩得特别短，几乎直接发成 /ts/

c、/tr/ 和 /dr/ 是比较特殊的辅音簇，/tr/ 可读为 /t?r/，/dr/ 可读为 /d?r/

它俩缩写的读音是[ a: nt].

are[a:] not[ n_t]的缩写aren't的读音采用了are的读音加上not的读音的前后两个辅音[ n]和[t], 而省去了not读音中间的原音[_](这个音标我不会在手机上打，请见谅) . 其实，not和它前面的系动词、助动词等的缩写的读音，也同样省去它中间的元音[_]，例如 is[iz] not的缩写isn't的读音是[iznt].
